So the problem I have is simple. Im trying to set up a scene with peds as actors, namely them sitting in vehicles doing animations and Im doing this with SNT.

 

The problem is that I cant set the ped as a bodyguard or they will just follow me around and cancel my set ups because of their script workings.

 

But I cant spawn them as a normal ped as AFAIK theres no option to seat them in a vehicle and moving them inside only works if I'm in the vehicle. Which is great but as soon as I get out their collisions exist again and they get kicked out and this is a multi-vehicle scene.

 

Any ideas on what I can do?

You should see an option that spawns a ped, but not as a bodyguard.

 

There is an option at the top above all the ped model names that says action: walking or something like that. If you cycle through those options you might be able to set one in a car.

I haven't used SNT for a while because of keybind collisions, I could never be bothered to sort it out. So my knowledge of SNT is limited.

 

You could spawn a driver and then I think there is an option to freeze peds so they don't drive off?

There is no sit in car task, the only task is "Drive". Which AFAIK there isn't a way to freeze a ped (only the player AFAIK).

 

Also, even then, I still would need to find a way for those who aren't driving and are just meant to be passengers.

Ahh ok, sorry I can't be much more help then, like I said my knowledge of SNT is limited now :)

I think you can tell them not to auto-drive, but just to stay put in the car. 

I don't believe so, previous attempts have had them just mindlessly drive around like a normal ped.

You can change the driving speed for the driver, I checked. That way they stay put. I just tried it :)
