Mod pack VS single mod?

Featured Replies

So iv'e got a lineup of a bunch of skins I made, but I'm not sure whether to release it in a pack like Abraxxas or to release each one individually over a month. I'd like an answer from someone who knows what they're doing, thanks.

I have no idea what I am doing

Packs are often appreciated, if they are for often used car models (like the Abraxas one was). If they're not, consider releasing them one by one, you don't necessarily have to wait between them. I would recommend creating a "release" thread, so they're all collected in one place :)

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

I like packs if the content has  a common theme, I wouldn't want to download a pack with a bunch of random cars without any meaning behind it.

I want to give the users as much content as possible with each release, that's why I usually release two or more cars each time, some people might like a charger with the light setup I made but they don't want ANPR cameras so they can use the version without cameras.

The same can go for skins, I think people would be more inclined to download a mod if it gives them several options, why download a CVPI skin that looks good instead of a pack with skins for three or four different car models as they'd be able to use more mods with your pack. It would take much effort to add even more content to the release by making special units like supervisor units, traffic or similar units.

Another option is to release a pack designed for ALM, meaning the packs contains different skins for some areas of the map (Alderney PD, LCPD, Algonquin PD, Broker PD, etc.)
