LCPDFR 1.0 First Impressions (Thank you)

Featured Replies

Today when I decided to install the new 1.0 version I realized that automatic install wouldn´t work for me (I have 32bit), so I tried the manual one. Of course the mod didn´t work :D When I pressed ALT+P, nothing had happened.  I was a little bit mad, and hugely dissapointed. Then I was searching in forums what to do and I´ve installed new version of Visual C 2012 x86.

After installation ALT+P was working but I immediately got an error ( LPDFR crashed, was unable to load , something like that). Damn this new LCPDFR is the shit I told to myself. Then I tried to instal new version of Microsoft framework and guess what, it worked :)

I had to reinstall the game anyway because RC2 was causing some trouble, but it was worth it. ELS 7 works well with the mod, so does vdhpolice helper ... I don´t have to use Braveheart´s script anymore, it was really bugy sometimes. I mean when you press M in 1.0 version it stops the whole traffic around you, it works so much better in 1.0 than in Bravehearts script. Pursuits are awesome, AI cops use tasers to stop suspects, simply awesome :)

About stability, it´s not that bad, but sometimes when I use Get out of the car (E) button the game freezes, I gotta say Braveheart´s was more stable with this one. And even the modded PED´s don´t cause the crash for me ...

But one thing dissapointed me a lot, it isn´t big, but anyway, I was looking forward to wear some cool sunglasses and all I got are some shitty nerd glasses, come on :D Does anybody know some sunglasses mod ?

But after all I gotta say big thank you to developers, awesome work ! really !

Have a good time everybody :)

I gotta agree with the post whole way around, while the mod needs some tweaking here and there, this is a REALLY good mod so far! I love how the pursuit and response system seems to work so far, as well as the Ped Interface system as well (though it would be nice if you didn't have to stay aimed at them the whole time, perhaps I'm doing something wrong there...)

As for the Sunglasses, yeah, they're the sunglasses that Niko can but for himself I recall. Not too big of a deal, I'm pretty sure plenty of sites offer re-textures of things like that. Once we get better stability out of this, I can say with a fair amount of certainty the vanilla LCPD:FR it'll blow every previous version, even with additional script mods out of the water.

Few minutes ago I realized that you can stop peds and issue orders and everything just with simple E, even without pointing on them with weapon, but without any weapon you have to click right mouse button and hold it for the whole time you´re giving them orders. Furthermore I love that you can place two suspects into your car and drive them both to the station, really good :)

And about the sunglasses, yeah I found Improved Cop mod, those sunglasess looks great :D

But still Get out of the car order is causing game to crash a lot ...
