So first of all:

-I replaced the files with the backed-up originals

-I am running the game as administrator via the LaunchGTA.exe

 

 

I am having this problem again. I tried starting it, went straight to the social club screen, clicked offline, the screen went away and brought up a black screen for about 5 seconds then went to the desktop. I can click on it to bring me back to the screen and I'll hear the loading audio, then straight back to desktop. In the task manager, it shows up active. Any clue how to fix this? I am stumped. :/ (just when nice cars and LCPDFR 1.0 is released)

Does this happen after 1.0 is installed?

No, this was prior to the release. As I stated, I replaced all of the files with backed-up ones. This is a completely vanilla game.
