ELS light colors for different vehicles

Featured Replies

I'm just curious at what I'm doing wrong? All my cop cars have blue and red lights so I didnt bother messing with the ELS7 default files in the ELS folder... But my firetruck has all red and I'm trying to get all red flashing lights (background) to showwithout interrupting my cop cars lights but can't seem to get it to work.

[ FIRETRUCK ]
Status = on
File = default_config

Here's what I did at the bottom

[ FIRETRUCK ]
Status = on
File = [ ENV_LIGHT_COLORS ]
Extra_1 = red
Extra_2 = red
Extra_3 = red
Extra_4 = red
Extra_5 = white
Extra_6 = white
Extra_7 = amber
Extra_8 = amber
Extra_9 = amber

I just can't seem to get by this part? Please any responds would be appreciated. THANKS!

PS- Yes I hunted down tons of different ELS7 troubleshooting threads but couldn't find one of my problem. Yes I'm sure there is one out there but I got tired of looking after 20mins. LOL Just saying that yes I tried really hard not to make a new thread.

Did you read the ELS 7 manual at all ? All you have to do is make a copy of the default_config file in the ELS folder and rename it to firetruck NO CAPS . Then open ELS.ini and change File = default_config to File = firetruck . Thats all

That^. The manual should be your first stop, since almost everything is explained in great detail. However, if you have any issues after reading it, feel free to ask for support.

Yes I did read the manual but completely missed this!! Man I thought I read everything and even looked online before making this new thread. Sorry about this wasted thread. I knew this was simple but just for some reason couldn't wrap my head around it.. Again thanks for the respond and Ill try to be more careful when reading that manual. Trust me I've solved a lot of my problems reading that manual before coming here and I know how frustrating it can be for the administrators (tech support)  to respond to these type of threads.
