China Makes a bad move

Featured Replies

I hope I don't eat my words later, but personally I highly doubt the U.S. will be going to war with any sort of major technically advanced country any time soon. Especially China. It'd be bad for business on both ends. We buy tons of crap from them, and they get our money. Our citizens get slave labor iPads, they get cash and look the other way. China's government is happy with that arrangement from an economical standpoint (as they let those working conditions fly without much interference), and their economy gets stronger every year as a result of it. Plus a lot of self sufficient, technologically advanced allied nations would likely come to our defense in the event of an attack on U.S. soil, so I wouldn't worry about war with China right now.

  • The Chinese did not confront the the US, the US confronted the Chinese navy.   The Chinese had their own vessel, an aircraft carrier in international waters when US vessel APPROACHED the Chinese car

  • I'd say that the whole world, not just China are lucky if a nuclear war is avoided. However military confrontations like these happens all the time. It might ignite a spark at the moment, but it will

  • Last post I will make - Also, I love the US and hate to take the "otherside", but someone has to do it.   Alright. China is provoking the US & Japan. We know. It's not a new thing, but the worst

I for one would not want a war with China/ Japan or any of those foreign countries.. the U.S has skills not numbers, Navy Seals, The Navy, Marines, Army and all sorts of crazy specialized Military type organizations & the Chinese have numbers, I personally think if they want if it ever came down to a full scale nuclear war, China would run right over us, a nuclear war will eventually happen whether it be an accident or on purpose, I just hope it's not in my time.

You know the US has around 20 times as many nuclear warheads as China, right?

Russia played a major part in winning the war in Europe against the Germans because of their great numbers. The German military was undoubtedly the best trained in the world from 1939-1944, and they were also the best equipped form 1939 to 1942. But they took on too many countries at once, and they provoked one country that had nearly unlimited human resources (Russia) and one that had nearly unlimited industrial resources (America). It took the allied countries years and years to bring down Nazi Germany to its knees, but it finally happened due to numbers. One German solider fighting on the Eastern front writing in his diary can be paraphrased as saying "A large bull elephant can stomp all over attacking fire ants, squashing thousands at a time, but will eventually be taken over and eaten alive by the sheer numbers of them."

That all being said, I'm not saying that the Chinese army is unbeatable, far from it. But it's not a fight worth picking because it's going to cost way too many casualties and city devastation around the globe.
