Hello I wanted to ask a question about the Beta testing, is it randomly picked? Or is it picked by how long you have been with lcpdfr, how many post's, or what?

That's a good question considering your new. One of the Beta guys should know the answer to that, but I think it's chosen by random pm's.

I personally think its based on how you interact within the community and how well you respect others?

I thought so to, but I wanted a beta tester to say how he got his version.

I am not sure what the exact criteria were for selection but I should think there was a minimum post count and also how helpful you have been, also a "ask/nag/beg/demand you don't get" policy. I don't think the devs are adding new testers anyway.

I was never informed of the exact criterion. I'm pretty sure it is probably based on helpfulness, ability to comprehend various aspects of how the game functions, post count, and other things.

From what I understand there are no set rules, but a few things (more than likely) played into my own selection. I am slowly but surely approaching 1000 posts since I registered on this forum in early spring of this year, some of them being support related, suggestion related, feedback related, multimedia related, and I got to know some of the more well known community members on a personal level through STEAM, mod experience or otherwise and I very well could have been recommended as a tester, but I can't confirm that. I also have a background in beta testing other games, open source mods and work with computer hardware and software for a living. So overall, I fit the criteria that I myself would want for a tester if I were developing something that I wanted to be tested extensively but analyzed critically and with appropriate feedback.

If you want to be a beta tester, I think the best way I can put it is "Show love for LCPD:FR". But don't ask. That takes away cool points. I was content just being able to play it.
