Gta Iv - Pc Running Too Slowly (Multiplayer)

Featured Replies

Whenever I accept an invite for a multiplayer match one of three things happen:

1) I get put in my own lobby

2) I get the message that I have been disconnected because I'm running too slowly

3) I get put in the sky over the ocean

I have put in a fresh install and it was working fine I put in my clan pack (not available to public) and it doesn't work any ideas?

It could very well be because of your car pack (which I assume is what you mean with "clan pack"). Are you running the game as administrator? What are your computer specs? List of mods?

You might try removing the Paul.dll in your directory. Just drag it out to your desktop and try again, you'll notice that the social club login thing won't come up. If any c++ package errors appear ignore them because they specifically relate to the social club window, not the game itself. This has solved this running to slowly problem on my brothers game and my a couple of my friends.

@ineseri Games running as admin, was working perfectly fine before I downloaded Route 66, since then I have uninstalled it and put in a new clean directory

@MrMpunit that did not seem to work, I drop down to 4fps when loading into multiplayer and gives me I am running too slowly

Hmm then I would say that there's something odd about your mods you have in your game. I would say a fresh clean install of both your game and mods. If it still doesn't work reinstall the game and just try to connect to a multilayer session with the vanilla game. If you still can't connect then we might want to shift our focus to your computer's hardware.....

What are your computer specs? And are you sure the mod is completely removed?

EDIT: Are you using Steam, btw?

Are you forcing Windows to run the GTAIV.exe and LaunchGTAIV.exe as administrator (By right-clicking, properties, compability, Run as administrator)?

Did not work, more information:

When I accept the game invite it says "Loading" as usual at usual speed, as it loads it gets slower and slower and then it disconnects me because I'm running too slow

Can you reinstall the game by:

1. Run the uninstaller

2. Delete all files in the GTA IV directory

3. Run the installer again.

I know, it's tedious process but it's usually solved by now :/

To be on the safe side, yes. You will be able to re-activate the game when you are running the installer again.

It gives me the code I entered plus two options for deactivation (like two spaces) which should I fill in? Online or Manual?
