Sound ominous anyone?

Don't feel threatened, I pose no threats. Just very grateful that the developers made something I could only dream of. I play this over most modern games. I wonder why corporate game developers don't make a game similar to LCPDFR..they would surpass most game sales out there.

I don't think it's true that they would surpass most game sales. Games from the larger companies sell better because they are aimed at a larger audience.
Sure, LCPDFR.com is one of the (maybe the largest) largest police roleplaying communities out there, but we are a comparingly small part of the gaming culture as a whole. Most people on this forum would buy a standalone policing game almost without hesitation, and even with added outsider support (I.E people not on these forums, or other similar forums), it would not surpass any major game sales and therefore it would not be profitable to develop such a game. I understand your trail of thought though, it would seem we who like these kind of games are quite a few and sure, we are a whole bunch of police enthusiasts but again: We are outnumbered to, for example, CoD or BF players.
TL;DR We are outnumbered, it would not be profitable.

Ineseri,

Before I begin, great post. Indeed we are a group of police enthusiasts. As I am in the process of becoming a sworn police officer myself, but you must realize that this type of game doesn't exist on consoles. The closest thing to it would be Police Force for PC. With that said, I am sure that the development of a game similar to lcpdfr will pull in a large audience. Clearly not as big as COD or BF2, but many.

Thanks for your insight!

I know it does not, and it's a damn shame too. Most game developers today aren't interested in what player wants, only in making money. Sure, I can understand that. They're a company. They need money.

I play both on PC and Xbox360, and the PC is superior just because of the modding capability of most games.

Also, nice job yourself on training to be an officer! That is no small feat! :)

Thanks, Indeed. PC is superior, that's why I purchased a brand new PC over the new XBOX 1. On the other hand, maybe one day we will see a legit police game for console.
