Cargobob and Armoured Vehicles

Featured Replies

So after becoming a billionaire in GTA V, I purchased a cargobob (military cargo helicopter with the hook) so I could have a little fun with traffic.  I happened to spot an armoured car making its route and I tried picking it up but with no success.  I admit that I'm still getting the hang of the cargobob, but is there a weight limit on the cargobob (as in, is the armoured car too heavy for it)?  If not, has anyone else had any success with lifting an armoured truck with a helicopter?

It's not possible to lift up the Armored Truck, or tow it. I've tried towing it with a tow truck and lifting it in the air with the Cargobob. No success =/

I think that it would be really cool to be able to lift that truck in the air and fly it to some location and blow the rear doors open but guess it would be pretty easy, wouldn't need to worry about LSPD lol

Wait... What? Did you really become a billionaire?

Yeah.  The trick is to not spend any money until every heist is completed, then take your $40M or so and dump it into stocks when doing the Assassination missions.  You end up with anywhere between $1.1B to $2.6B when finished (remember to invest with every character so they're all rich).  Edit:  This is what I went by to make billions: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

Thanks for the answers guys.  It's a shame it can't be lifted.  And Carry, that's exactly what I was thinking of doing haha.

Yeah, I knew that trick, but didn't think it was really worth it until I completed the Assassination missions...

I guess I'm stuck with my 27 million dollars for each character, right?

Same here, felt so dumb after finding out about that trick.

I think you still can invest in stocks, although the income won't be as dramatic.

Yeah, stocks are always a good way to boost your bank account.  If you want an easy way to make money in order to afford the cargobob and other fancy stuff, just keep checking the main stories on the LCN page for stocks that have plummeted, and then invest heavy so you can ride the rebound.

Example: "FlyUS shares down amid strikes" is a headline that would indicate a good time to buy, as the stocks will be lower.
