finding my cars

okay, im new here (obviously) so if there is a topic that address this then please let me know, and lock this one.

i followed a video on how to replace cars in GTA4. so i did that (i replaced 3 cars, with 2 cops cars and 1 civi car)

my question is, how can i find and select my two added cop cars? when i stary LCPDFR, and i choose my character, i only get the stock polic cars that come with the mod.

what key (and im sure little) part am i missing?

You need to spawn them yourself (using the SHDN console or SNT)

what do those stand for?

(ps how can i get different weapons for my officer? -like besides the bat,handgun, and shotty)

SHDN=scripthook .NET (comes with LCPDFR). To use the console, press ` and type "spawn " and then the modelname of the car you want to replace. SNT = Simple Native Trainer, and is VERY commonly used, as it has a ton of options.

so i got my cars to work... but the lights on them wont work?

also i keep seeing my added cars EVERYWHERE! (is there a fix?)

sorry for the triple post here, but the only way i can get my (added in/replaced) cars is if i spawn them using simple trainer. i cant seem to choose them when i start LCPDFR.. only after i spawn my guy and (stock) car can i spawn my added ones.

thoughts?

Ok. First, did you replace the right cars, for example police and police2.wtd? If you replaced a non police car with a police car, then obviously the lights won't work.

Second, did you check if they are ELS car mods? If so, the lights won't work without ELS.

Try to check these things first and then tell me if there still are any problems.

Added in cars WILL NOT spawn in game unless you add specific text entries into various data files in the game. There is a complete tutorial on this on GTA Police Mods. Any vehicles in slots OTHER THAN the default police car slots WILL NOT be in the selection of cars you may use upon starting LCPD:FR.
