Window Template/Texture?

Featured Replies

Hello. I was wondering if anyone has/ know where a window template or texture is for Dhruv's 2011 Dodge Charger. I think my cars look pretty with tinted windows and the interior all beige makes it worse without tint.

You could always just open spark iv, or open iv and find the window texture and export it. then mess around with that in photoshop.

Veni vidi vici

No they use the vehshare textures, Anyways just make four boxes that are dark but yet transparent, Name them accordingly, left, right, back, front and so on. Then make a window material. Map the glass to that. Re-do the L1's and done.

I have both and I wasn't going to release this Charger because this is just for me and some friends. Maybe I'll release one when I get better at it.

GIMP is better that pain.net IMO.

I have photoshop though

Edit: Not even bothering with this vehicle, I feel like it gives me so many problems. I will proceed when I feel like fixing the errors.

I used to feel like that when I first modding (Of course you haven't seen anything released cause I am making my skills better by scratch modeling and making my cars use my own equipment) but just start a new project (Doesn't have to be big or anything) then go sit down and watch the footy. And then come back to it. :P

Well that Charger has to many problems to start off. I wish I can make lights and my own stuff.

Wow! Could you make a tutorial on that? I really want to know how to make cars from scratch. It could really help HLSavior and I since we're managing SCNG Designs together and that's one skill we're missing. That would be amazing if you could submit a video on how to do it or something. I would be so grateful, you don't even know!

SCNG FTW!!

Ok now a full tutorial is available at http://www.etspe.ca/zmt/v1/ for version 1 this shows you how to build up the car in steps and includes texturing

A full tutorial is available for version 2 at http://www.etspe.ca/zmt/v2/ and walks you through on how to make a car if you are using version 2, if using version two you may need to go back to the version one tutorial to help get you started. You will see what I mean when you begin to read the version two tutorial.

I hope this will be helpful.

Still seems hard as f**k. I want to start making lights and map els.

Just to warn you, It is not a walk in the park, start out by making things for your vehicles. Don't go starting out building models, Building models from scratch would take you a good few months, I do not create scratch vehicles for myself, I alter already made models, and scratch make my own Equipment, Start with equipment, and when you have a few releases you have under your belt, do the modeling for vehicles.

NOTE: I know I have not released any models or anything as such, but I give you this advice as I have been given it by people. I have made my own scratch equipment, and I will be using them in my release, there for no models have been released cause scratch modeling takes a lot of aspirin and time.

Another NOTE: Do not loose your cool learning, that is why I left you with both tuts.

Still seems hard as f**k. I want to start making lights and map els.

All in good time dude, learn the baby steps and then do the lights,  in the mean time read up on this: http://gtapolicemods.com/showthread.php?2357-How-to-map-ELS-for-V3-V6
