unr3al's LCPD Police Car Skin

Featured Replies

Hey I've seen unr3al's LCPD skin and really took a liking to it, he said that it should work on any Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. From there I downloaded a CVPI From Gta Inside.com and applied that using Spark IV after that I then downloaded unr3al's LCPD .wtd skin and imported that using Spark but when I go in game (yes I ran it as administrator) its just a blank model with the same shape and siren as unr3al's LCPD skin in his videos. I also tried it with other peoples skins as well from GPM. I use ELS V5 not ELS V6 because it makes my GTA:IV crash.

I've repeated these steps a few times and even followed a tutorial just to make sure I was doing it right and I still end up with the same results

Export the <insertsomething>_sign_1.dds out of the wtd unr3al provided and import that in the wtd of the car you're using replacing the <xx>_sign_1.dds thats already there.

Sorry about double posting but it wouldn't let me edit my last one.

Break do you mean export Police_sign_1 from unr3al's .wtd and import police_sign_1 from the original car? I don't know what a .dds file is and I have never seen one.

Break is saying that you have to open the .wtd file provided by Unr3al and export the texture. The skin of the vehicle is a .dds file. Most of the police cars have 4 liveries: Sign_1.dds, sign_2.dds,... Just open up his wtd file with sparkIV and export the texture itself. After that, you just import the texture into the .wtd file of the car you want.

I actually had the exact same problem. I've tried looking inside unr3als .wtd file but i can't find any xxx_sign_1.dds

Can't even find a texture that looks like a skin to me.

Thanks it works now

Uns33n I had to import unr3als .wtd file into police using spark IV, then enter the .wtd file and export police_sign_1. Then you have to import the original car's .wtd file back into police and replaced the original cars police_sign_1 with unr3als.

Sorry for my lack of understanding, i'll try to explain what my problem is.

I Open up SparkIV, opened up vehicles.img, imported the police.wtd file from Unr3al's, edit the police.wtd file from unr3al. At this point i can't find any "Police_sign_1(2/3).DDS"

And "Disabled Angel" is telling me to import unr3al's .wtd file, enter the file, export the police_sign_1. Then import the original car's .wtd back into unr3al's police.wtd. Am i right? Or could someone some instructions that i can understand. Any help will be appreciated.

For all the people having trouble with importing and exporting unr3al's skin:

Here is a link for similar skins. They look almost the same and they include both CVPI, Charger, suburban and Impala versions. Pictures are included.

Just import these into vehicles.img and you're done. No exporting or importing of .dds files necessary.

For those who want Unr3al's skin: open up sparkIV, go to cdimages, open vehicles.img, backup your original police.wtd and import unr3al's .wtd file, click edit and search for the skin inside the file. The file will have a .dds extention. Export the texture to your desktop and close the edit window without saving. Now import your backup and click edit. Now replace the skin (.dds file) with unr3al's skin which you exported to your desktop. Click save and close. Save and rebuild. You're done.

Hope I could be of any help.
