When i try using a brand new backup of my game I get an error message after i hit play on the Social Club. It says something like RGSC.exe cannot start and must be present and running. Any help to fix this?

Have you got either xliveless or dsound installed? That's the first step.

 

If they're installed, try booting GTA IV from the game directory - C:Program FilesRockstar GamesGTA IV, and looking for the file called 'LaunchGTAIV.exe'. Running it from this exe should bypass social club.

or you can just rename the paul.dll to paul.old.dll and it will bypass the social club all together

yes I have tried downloading the newest patch from that link. Nothing seems to work. It is when I hit play and then the message pops up about RGSC.exe.

Sorry lmao. I am trying to start fresh and im deleting many files and trying new ones to make my game get the best that it possibly can.
