Anyways, so if this department never heard of LCPDFR than maybe it was a misunderstanding. It's still a lesson to learn for all modders though. That's why all my skins(excluding one), say Liberty city, instead of the actual name. Not only does it keep the IV factor in place, but I guess it helps prevent issues like this

I agree i have made skins they say liberty city, but with the true colors and stuff! 

To whom it may concern,

 

     It is unfortunate that I have to inform anyone of this, but I just received a cease and desist from the Grand Junction Police Department for anything related to the department or the City of Grand Junction and must stop all further development of the GJPD cars and take down the ones that I have up already. I am sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused and would like to request that no one reupload these skins, as this is now a legal matter and wish no one to have to deal with said legal issues. If anyone wishes for any proof on this cease and desist, I should have the formal letter from the department soon. Thank you for your understanding.

I would keep making your GJPD skins but edit the logo to says Liberty Junction Police Department and go with a liberty theme based off the Grand Junction PD, they cannot tell you to stop that.

Well it's been done before. I mean, I can understand both point of views. If a agency does ever take further action, they obviously need to look into LCPDFR and what it really is, compared to what IV depicts of it

Yea i agree they cant do anything about it any how in my opinion.. your not selling the skins for profit or degrading the dept in anyway... When you get that letter post a picture of it if you would be so kind!
