June 11, 201312 yr Essentially we're all modders, except some of make stuff from scratch and some of us edit the stuff that the former group has made. The modding scene would be seriously dull without both groups. Actually, the modding scene can't be any duller than it is at the moment. There's nothing unique because everyone has been spoon-fed with vehicle models, in turn causing laziness and no effort whatsoever by most people to even learn to create something that would stand out from the rest of the crowd. "Modder" is a universal term for someone that modifies something, but comparing a modeler to someone that merely throws a lightbar on a Ford Crown Victoria is just wrong. That's like comparing a scripter to a street sweeper.
