I bought GTA IV the other day so i could mod it and i installed it and i got the gta iv fatal error and i fixxed that and after i installed LCPDFR and everytime i go to launch the game it says Grand Theft Auto IV has stopped working. ive uninstalled the game, ive got the latest patch ive done about everything that the forums say to do. but im still having troubles getting it to work. i have even installed it on my brothers laptop and the same exact thing happens everytime. ive been tryin to fix this for like 6 hours and still nothing. is there anything else i should try? or that i have missed in the forums anyhelp would be appreciated and my system can run GTA IV i know it can handle it. same with my brothers laptop.

 

 

Okay nvm i got it working... feel like a complete idiot tho... but i got it working lol.

Yeah I am having the same problem too what did you do to fix it I have downloaded the patch to fix ws10 the compatibility downloads and have installed

lcpdfr and it said press alt p to start, then when I try to get on it, it pops up then says not responding and closes then I downloaded patch 1.0.7.0 and ran as admin but still didn't work is there a file I have to put 1.0.7.0 in? Please respond!

Installer needs to be run as Administrator and uncheck "read-only" for the game directory.  If you are not sure if you have everything installed correctly, run the Diagnostic Tool located in the download section and post here.

 

Also, try unchecking tazer when installing LCPDFR, that may help and make sure you have only Dsound or Xlive (Xliveless), not both.

I just tryed to do every thing he said and it still crashes
