I just got my GTA IV and left EFLC but I cant get the trainer or anything because the game I bought was messed up and so were 2 other copies but anyway is there any way to erase a file that contains your wanted level because I hate getting wanted and wont miss it please get back to me I am desperate!

I got a fatal error WS10 but fixed it with a patch and even before the patch there was no scripts folder or I couldn't get a trainer,ELS or LCPDFR, my EFLC ran pefectly but It was an older version, I can do map mods and other mods but not script and also in exe. it says V1 and I have purchased 0.1.7.0 but is there a way to erase or replace a file?!?

Did you buy from Steam or what? ELS, Trainer, and LCPD:FR require the use of an asi loader, there are two out there, xliveless and dsound. dsound allows multiplayer and is the one shipped with LCPD:FR (but I recommend downloading an updated version), xliveless removes the GFWL function. Make sure you do not have both in at the same time or there will be problems.

 

Scripts folder is not actually there on a normal install, LCPD:FR adds it, if your using a GTA IV without LCPD:FR you will have to manually create a scripts folder, and also acquire scriphookdotnet.dll

 

*EDIT* also there is no save game hacks to remove wanted lvl's these are just a temp thing, get out of the zone without being seen and hide for a while, or use a script to remove it for you. the trainer does have an option that stops you from acquiring a wanted lvl and stop the cops from spawning too, but again these can only be done with scripts.

Sorry for the late reply but I put the world trade center mod in but I cant go to that island without getting a 5 star wanted level and I have to reinstall the game sometimes so I cant always play the missions and I really need to be able to roam the city :(

A good idea is to take the original GTA IV folder once you are done installing, and then either compress it or make a complete copy with a new name. With a compressed version you can easily revert to a fresh install state at any time. With the copy method you can have one for a no mod version, and another copy for a modded one.
