[HELP] Detaching Parts on Zmodeler

Featured Replies

How come when I try to detach parts of a 3D model in Zmodeler, it wants to detach other parts as well. I've seen people detach parts with no problem. How can I do that as well?

Here is what I am talking about. It is highlighted in blue:

You have to be in a mode other than object mode. I usually use polygon mode for detatching pieces. Select the polygons you want to detach and then use the detach tool (make sure to have selected mode on). This tutorial is very useful, and I recommend you read it, as it may answer some other questions you may have: http://www.zmodeler2.com/docs/program/lessons/basics/contents.html

Thank you "br100x" for that link to the basic lessons. That's going to help me a lot. Reading it now.

No Problem! :D

When you're done with the basic lessons, there are advanced lessons too, which cover some neat tools and more advanced modeling: http://www.zmodeler2.com/docs/program/lessons/advanced/advcontents.html Have fun! :)
