key binding concerns

Featured Replies

I have a boot camped Macbook pro and was wondering would i have any problems running LCPD First Response 0.95 RC2-R2 dealing with the key bindings due to not having numlock?

Um im not sure if u can run gta iv in the first place. If you can there woulf be somethings you wouldnt be able to use like other scripts but lcpdfr it self u should be ok, but google "can i run it" the website should be like systemlabrequirements and see if your computer can run the game.

Go to your bootcamp system icon in notifications dock, go to your System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard.

Now, directly below the 2 sliders, check the box that says “Use all F1, F2 etc. keys as standard function keys.”

After doing so, you may tie the number keys to unused function keys (f1, f2, etc) in the scripts .ini file.

You may still access the volume and brightness keys by  holding the "fn" key  down. This is useful for snt (simple native trainier).

As for losing key bindings, the above allows you to use the defaults for Backup in LCPDFR:

F9 (in a pursuit) - Authorises pursuing officers to fire at the fleeing suspect.
F10 (in a pursuit) - Requests a Police Helicopter with 2-4 officers and a spotlight to follow the fleeing suspect.
F11 (in a pursuit) - Requests a special vehicle with 2-4 officers to join the pursuit.
F12 (in a pursuit) - Requests a patrol vehicle with 2 officers to join the pursuit.

You would still not be able to access

Numpad 1 - Makes the character say a random fight speech.

Numpad 4 - Makes the character say a random intimidation speech.
Numpad 7 - Makes the character say a random chase speech.

Numpad / (divide) - Toggles different non-els lightmodes.

If you use els enabled vehicles, then Numberpad / would be a non-issue.

Otherwise if the above solution doesn't remedy your problem, a work around is an auxiliary keyboard (wired or wireless with Numpad) or a usb Numpad

thats what its already set to and alt+m still isnt working

It supposed to be like this.

FunctionKey = 17		// Alt by default ***
ComboKey = 18			// Ctrl by default

If you are using Simple Native Trainer then disable the keys.

As Matosh said, disable your SNT, if that doesn't work, get rid of the trainer altogether and try that again. Also, don't thread jack, it's not nice.
