Im new here and I need some help with the installation, I installed the LCPD First Response 0.95 RC2-R2 and followed all the directions but when I open the GTA 4 icon as an administrator but I get an error window that says "Grand theft auto 4 has stopped working"  "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly, windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available" and I get this message every time I try to open it

I am having the same issue.

- I have a legit copy

- Diagnostics shows nothing wrong

- "read only" has been unchecked and applied to every file

- I have all the most recent updates and patches including 1.0.7.0.

- I have gone over every single step in the "read this before posting" file, repeatedly, and everything is as it should be.

It still says "Grand Theft Auto IV has stopped working"

I'm out of ideas... Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, I've tried the "LaunchGTAIV.exe". It gives me the same "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly, windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available" message.

Purchased game via Amazon. 50% of people I read reviews on said download from Steam, 50% said downloading from Steam has too many issues. Heard nothing negative about downloading from Amazon.
