Brand New to LCPDFR

Featured Replies

I've been watching some videos of people playing on youtube and I really got interested in play LCPDFR myself.  I got GTA downloaded and the LCPDFR mod downloaded.  This may be a dumb question but how do I get started playing?  What do I need to do so that I can enjoy the game and maybe eventually play some multiplayer games with people?  Sorry if this is in the wrong section.  I tried searching for how to get started but couldn't find anything.  Thanks in advance for any help!!

Dear Dunn2813, if you're cheapskate like i am, Don't, because In order to use LCPD:FR mod, You really need original copy (spent real money *sob*)

worth your penny if you're hardcore cop Role Player

And getting started is easy and well documented, just download and install the mod, and follow all the instructions. It truly is not that hard.

And yes Illegal versions are not supported, there are some that have made them work, but most cant, plus you will not be able to play online, or with a clan with an illegal version.

Sorry...I should have been more clear.  It's a legal copy that I bought from Walmart.  Had a hell of a time getting it installed and working but finally did.  I put the mod in but Im new to using the Mods and getting car skins and cop uniforms and all that incorporated.

To add cars and uniforms there are plenty of YouTube tutorials out there (I know cos mine is one of them). Mods are simple, they are mostly .asi or .net.dll anything with a .asi then you put it and it's .ini file in the MAIN GTA IV folder, that is the one with LaunchGTAIV.exe .net.dll will go in the Scripts Folder that should be created when you install LCPD:FR.

Installing LCPD:FR is easy and simple as it does it all for you, you just need to follow the on screen prompts.

For changing cars and peds you will need either SparkIV or OpenIV.

Ah ok.  I'll get to watching some vids and learning tonight when I get to my main PC with the game.  Can you link me to your tutorials as well?  I figure once I get the hang of this, it'll be very easy to do and have an enjoyable gaming experience.

here is mine

this was made for specific mods for an old clan, but the steps are the same for all mods, plus this includes a tutorial for how to modify your horns.ivaud file which is why I've kept it online.

*EDIT* I don't remember it being so blury, I only record videos in 1080p. Hopefully you can follow along with what I say, but if not I can make a new one.
