I was trying to get my game to work and whenever I'd launch it via steam nothing would show up. I found a suggestion online that says to use xliveless rather than the dsound. That fixed my problem, but now without dsound I can't play online which is something I'd really like to do..

 

Is there any way to use xlive to play online? Or does anyone have an idea as to how I can fix this?

    My GTA IV is a steam copy and I have no issues. Sometimes I find GTA IV is quite problematic, but dsound.dll should work.
