How To Fade Text Photoshop?

Featured Replies

Cool! Is there any way to do this Paint.net with out using plug-ins?

Well, what I would do is just screw around in it, to see what it can do. I learned most of my tricks by doing that. I would use the Selection Tool and use the Gradient tool inside of it.

Thanks I'll try that out.

I prefer using Photoshop, used to use Paint.net at first. But swtiched to Photoshop and now like it better than Paint.net.

Yeah, I started out using GIMP 2 but didn't like it. I use Paint.net now and I REALLY like it. The only I reason I don't use photoshop is because I'm cheep and don't have a lot of time to learn a new program over again.

If you ever overcome your cheapness, Photoshop is a really easy program to learn.

Yeah, I might just try it some day...

I got photoshop CS6 for about $22 USD. I use paint.net for lines and everything, and I use Photoshop for touch-ups.

Photoshop is a good skill to learn. Also, it can be a VERY handy program. But, it is a tad bit pricey. Definitely worth the money though if you're going to use the heck out of it.

You right click the text layer, click "Blending Options", go to "Gradient Overlay", click the Black>White gradient and edit it.

Look at this video to help with Gradients.

One other thing, I got the bottom of the text below how I wanted it but I want to do the same to the top of it as showing like in the real life picture below.
