Game crashes loading into Story Mode after installing multiple mods

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I recently installed a bunch of mods one after another for LSPDFR / GTA V. Now, whenever I try to load into Story Mode, the game completely crashes.

I also have an .rcr file. Which I know contains data that experienced users here can read, but I'm not sure how to look into it to find the issue.

What should I do to diagnose or fix this crash? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Rename the mods folder to _mods and tell me if it works. If it does, it means one of the mods isn’t working, and you’ll need to uninstall them one by one to figure out exactly which one(s) are causing the issue.

It’s also good to have Gameconfig, Heap Adjuster, Packfile Adjuster and Resource Adjuster installed.

Make sure the Grand Theft Auto V folder has all permissions enabled (Properties > Security).

If you feel that I’ve been helpful, a simple “thank you” is enough. 🙂

First of all, thank you for your help! I did exactly what you said. I launched the game without renaming the mods folder (so with mods enabled), and it crashed at the exact same spot. After that, I renamed the folder to "_mods" to disable it and tried to launch the game via "RagePluginHook.exe", but the game wouldn't even start at all. What should we do next?
