Rage Plugin Hook Doesnt Open

Featured Replies

game version: GTA V Enchanced

I tried to:

Reinstall(ed like 10-17 times)
Completely turn off anti virus

Made sure I have all of the files

Made sure I have all of the updates

Tried to install plugins like scripthook, datafix etc.
Tried with RAGENativeUI latest.

Pressing shift at any time, holding it (i tried every variation)

Restarting PC

And it didnt work.

Problem:

The first time I open Rage Plugin Hook, it shows me an eula, I accept, then it shows something loading then boom, it stops instead of giving me the settings UI. Then when I try to start the .exe again, nothing hapens. When i look at the task manager, It just pops up when i open the file for 4-5 seconds then it disappears.

Edit: There is no log file or commandline.txt...

Hello,

Welcome to LCPDFR.com

What happens when you run RagePluginHook.exe as an admin? and if you can, launch it after you have loaded into singleplayer normally first.

If it still doesn't work, open commandline.txt in your main game folder and add -log to it, run RPH again and it should generate a RagePluginHookLauncher.log that you can upload.

As admin, the same thing.

I will try commandline.txt.

With the "commandline.txt" with the input "-log" It's still the same. No log.

By the way i tried to load into the game and then run the .exe still same.

If it's not generating the logs then it is not even running.

Something must be blocking it. Make sure you have full read/write permissions for the game folder (Folder properties > Security)

Add the game folder as an exception in Windows Security, and then manually reinstall LSPDFR and RPH (If you have scripthook you will need to overwrite the LSPDFR Xinput1_4.dll with scripthook's afterwards). Then add RagePluginHook.exe itself as an exception in Windows Security, then try running it.

I tried it, I have full read write perms, I completely turned off windows security and added them as exceptions. The exe file does run the first time i open it but it doesnt generate a log either. It just wants me to accept a eula and stops.

I have a versioninfo.txt if it isnt normal, if i right click to a gta5 exe file and go to info, the version is empty. only version info is at versioninfo.txt

is there an arg for the .exe file so i can force a version into it?

I've disabled batteye, I'm not using gamepass. I didn't got a different error probably, just checked the log file and saw it couldnt get version info. I don't know where does it pull the version from so i typed it here.

Just in case there is my latest log file:

RagePluginHookLauncher.log

I'll try to look in my regedit.

Log looks like some str s are obfuscated but im not sure. I couldn't do anything w regedit but I think it checks the version from there.

if RPH checks the .txt file to get the version it seems like we are cooked

but if RPH checks for the .exe file a dev could make it check a version text file if there is no version in the .exe

Or a dev can publish a version that assumes the version is up to date.
