NPCs keep crashing into me

Featured Replies

Hey lads, I've got this rather funny issue. NPC vehicles don't seem to recognise me as a member of traffic, meaning they always crash into me without even trying to slow down, it's like I'm not even there. Happens with my lights on and off, moving (e.g. catching up to me on the highway) and stationary (e.g. parked on the side of the road, or even regular traffic lights). As funny as it might be it got obnoxious quickly. Is it possible that the newest version of lspdfr or the game itself tampered with AI pathing? I'm not using any other scripts or plugins. Thanks for any help in advance :)

Please post the RagePluginHook.log which can be found in the main folder.

Are you using the latest version of GTA and RPH?

If you feel that I’ve been helpful, a simple “thank you” is enough. 🙂

RagePluginHook.log Yes, I am using the latest version of both GTA V Legacy and RPH.

No, this isn't normal LSPDFR behaviour. What other plugins do you have installed? and are you using any NPC/ped options in a trainer?

Definitely isn't! That's what's so weird to me, I am using nothing but vanilla LSPDFR. No plugins, no nothing. In addition to LSPDFR I am using the official paid patreon version of EUP and QUANTV, but none of these should be causing this strange issue.

Could you record a video so we can see exactly what’s happening? The log looks fine.

Have you tried reinstalling LSPDFR manually?

I have in fact tried reinstalling LSPDFR, the issue persists, though it's very inconsistent. After I've just launched the game and gone on duty the vehicles actually stopped/slowed down for me. Then after a couple of minutes/some distance travelled they've all gone nuts again. And it's not like they crash and stop, they quite literally keep pushing me in front of them as they become spooked/angry. It's funny, yet so frustrating as the game is unplayable like this. P.S. This is happening in story mode as well now...

I will try to record a clip when I've got some time on my hands sometime tomorrow.

Hey, so I've recorded a 30-second-long clip; however, it doesn't let me post it here as it is over 4mb...

Additionally, I've noticed that this seems to only occur after a traffic stop. Once I let the driver go, everyone goes bonkers again for some reason. I've never seen anything like this. I've also reinstalled my entire mods folder.

@Gan Ceann Are there any other options how I can show you the issue?

Try uploading it to Google Drive and share the link with us, or use any other file-sharing site.

SOLUTION UPDATE:

Turns out that the "fix wheel turn back" (the feature where you can keep your wheels turned/locked after leaving a vehicle) or whatever it's called in the QUANTV Trainer menu had seemingly been the culprit of this issue, though I still have no idea how such a simple feature can mess the AI this much. Anyways, the moment I turned this feature off and restarted the game, I've conducted multiple traffic stops, drove around the entire map, and the issue hasn't happened since. That's probably also why it had been so inconsistent, because I actually left the wheels of my car turned only during SOME traffic stops. And after the first one, where this feature was engaged, the game just broke. It's weird, but it is what it is.
