The RagePluginHook.log says that there are no errors in the log. Whether you choose automatic or manual installation, the result should be the same. After installing, either way, make sure you have th

Can it be rage hook is not compatible with the game version? As I open the game first then click on rage and it just only loads

I just realized—you didn’t post the correct log.

Post the RagePluginHook.log file located in the main game folder (Grand Theft Auto V).

If you feel that I’ve been helpful, a simple “thank you” is enough. 🙂

Oh I'm sorry about that, I will post the one I will try now. I did reinstall everything and remove all mods. I am downloading the links you sent to me updating my drivers and everything else. I do use Nvidia rtx A4500 and have 16 gb and enough space to run more mods but just sticking with the ones I did try before as they did work the first time I launch the game.

Alright, I just did that and it is successfully installed and rage is in the directory with it. I am going to test it now.

Alright I did install it fresh and now everything is working fine. I am just hoping if I do install mods back into the game if it will crash again

Alright I just added my mods and did remove some just thinking maybe there is a limit for adding mods.

I just tried going onto the game with mods installed and just gotten this error

Could contain: text, screenshot, brand, logo, rectangle, font

I think it was the heap asi I changed the settings a bit lower to 1000 to see if it will work and then windows anti virus deleted rage and now i am trying to get rag all over again. I did add the exclusion and it is frustrating.

So, I adjusted the heap asi and it worked and I just provide my log as it crashed again and not sure which mod it could be as all are installed correctly and not sure if one of them are just corrupted or just bugged.

Can it be due to an ASI file being outdated for legacy and as I see at the bottom of the log is says an unknown var its either a plugin or script cannot resolve an memory access. Any suggestions?

What antivirus are you using? If you have Windows 10 and you’re using Windows Security, go to:

Virus & threat protectionVirus & threat protection settingsManage settings, then turn off:

  • Real-time protection

  • Cloud-delivered protection

  • Automatic sample submission

  • Tamper Protection

Add the Grand Theft Auto V folder as well, and also add RAGEPluginHook.exe to the exclusions.

How to create an exclusion in Windows Security on Windows 10 or 11:

  1. Open Windows Security:

    • Press Windows + S, type Windows Security, and open it.

  2. Go to Virus & threat protection:

    • Click Virus & threat protection.

  3. Manage settings:

    • Under Virus & threat protection settings, click Manage settings.

  4. Add an exclusion:

    • Scroll down to Exclusions and click Add or remove exclusions.

    • Click Add an exclusion, then choose the type: File, Folder, File type, or Process.

    • Select the file or folder you want to exclude.

  5. Confirm:

    • The selected item will now be excluded from real-time scans and other security checks.

Try to install the mods using their official download links and follow all the installation steps, instead of just copy-pasting.

If you feel that I’ve been helpful, a simple “thank you” is enough. 🙂

Yes, it's just the normal windows anti virus and I did those steps and got it to stop removing rage. It's just when starting the computer or restarting it goes back to the default settings which I did change and add exclusions. I also did check to see if any files are validated and they are. Sure, I can try re-downloading all my mods.
