Sheriff 1 and Sheriff 2 Wheel Textures and ELS Unloading From a Distance

Featured Replies

Howdy there,
Let me preface this by saying I'm completely new to the LSPDFR forums so please bear with me if this is the wrong place to ask this but...

Recently, I've been having texture issues with a couple of replace ELS models that I've thrown onto the Sheriff 1 and Sheriff 2 cars. These issues started around last week after I downloaded a park ranger DLC pack (I doubt the installation had anything to do with my problems, but I thought I'd mention that just in case it does). I installed everything properly (or so I thought); however, when I tried spawning Sheriff 1 and Sheriff 2 in-game after the install, one livery's body turned completely black, while the other's body ended up with the "dirt" texture included in the ytd file. Both the Sheriff 1 and Sheriff 2 textures were working perfectly fine prior to the installation of the aforementioned park ranger DLC (again, doubt it's related, but worth mentioning ig). Also worth mentioning that both the yft and ytd files showed the liveries + models were working properly.

After uninstalling + reinstalling the two replace liveries mentioned several times over to see if the issue was related to buggy ytd/yft files and poring through vehicles.meta to see if I messed up there, I gave up and ended up installing completely different liveries. However after doing so, I now have a completely different issue on my hands: my wheel textures and my ELS end up disappearing when I get close to both vehicles (As pictured below). Again, the yft and ytd files seem perfectly fine so I have no clue why these issues could be cropping up.

I'm worried I may have accidentally deleted an important file within my mods folder during the installation of the DLC pack; however, I'm at a total loss for why this is happening. All of the packs I mentioned in this post are included in case you wanted to try them yourself for debugging, but from what I can tell in the comments of all of three packs, nobody else is having the same issues I am leading me to believe it's probably just a skill issue on my part?? 😭

Anywho, all of that yap to say I'm at a complete loss of what else I could possibly do to fix this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am genuinely SO sick of - and absolutely pissed off at - the complete lack of progress I'm making on resolving this issue.

P.S: Idk if this is noteworthy or not, but it takes about 9 steps from both cars for just the ELS to show, & 12 steps for both the ELS AND the wheel texture to show up as pictured. Just thought I'd drop that snippet of information in case that helps lol

After a fresh install and screaming way too many expletives at my monitor, I've finally figured out the reason for this texture loss: I set my DirectX Version to DirectX10 instead of DirectX11 in my graphics settings to save video memory. After switching to DirectX11 and restarting my game, it seems these texture bugs have finally been fixed :D
