I’ve found a way to rp as a field operative and a detective. For the FO I use bejoijos ALPR and look for wanted and stolen ALPR hits. As a detective I run homicide and drug deals using supercallouts dead body callout then use console bolo to find the murder suspect. For drug deals I use console drug deal but I might start with a homeless person who is selling or a hooker who is selling. I oftentimes just rp a gang member as the distributor. At least until someone creates an Ambient Detective mode that can create a target from compulite for realism. How do you all RP as a detective?

Could you share a video? I’d like to get new ideas. The game is superb but it just doesn’t support detective mode in ambient.

Imagine rolling up to a dead body- investigating it and then going into compulite and clicking track a suspect and it auto generates a name a picture and a huge bubble where the perp could be and you have 4 minutes in real life time to find the suspect. Option A: you find them and arrest them for homicide. Option B: you don’t find them and they get added to a warrants list for later callout from vanilla LSPDFR or another mod that API’s compulite or first mod that gave initial callout. How awesome would that be?

Other options could be immersiveambientevents makes a BOLO of the perp and you have IAE’s timeline to find the BOLO before it expires. Bejoijo could literally have a breakthrough mod and the creator of IAE if they paired together. Epic!

Oftentimes, you’ll pull people over or find random abandoned cars compulite could have find suspect button for random person that gets tied to callout even after ending but it could have a find owner button for actual owner of vehicle tied to the car for further RP purposes. Immersion would be abundant here.

Yes, but it would pretty much be a one timer. The replay value would be limited.
It would be possible to pick a new location, so that would be the replay.
However R* has added a detective-story already. It is difficult and has several strong scenes. If you do not know about the Infinty-case, you should investigate, but do not use the net. It is full of spoilers.
Anyone that does not know the case. First clue is in Saltom Sea. Find the burned shed.

Let me know if you find it interesting.
Best Regards.

I just mean like ambient detective mode. Abandoned car use Ambient Detective Investigation mode after running plate and searching for fingerprints or wallets etc all RP. Then when you decide it’s a case (gta, hit and run, involved in a murder etc) you add the “clues” you found and then search for the perp. I have it built it’s a wip but it works so far. Just fine tuning now.

So far I’ve used it to complement 686callout car bomb. I RP’d that I found evidence linking it to the perp then I used ADM (Ambient Detective Mod) to find the perp and I arrested them. After I called coroners and tow truck for the blown up vehicle.
