This happens to me & it's due to a few reasons!

1) Your internet is slow (you might have a town provider & not like a FiOS connection)

2) Your video is very big, quite a few GB's

3) YouTube is being YT and slow at uploading

One of the best ways to solve this, is to render your videos into .mp4 format, great quality and smaller file sizes

Hope this helps,

Visi

Bars of connection is nohing to do with it.

I'll explain:

It depends on your upload speed. Most plans that internet providers have are revolved around download speed, because casual people at home usually download, rather than upload. But that doesn't matter because with all those plans (even going up to 200mbps) they all have 0.5-1mbps upload speed. Here, they don't allow more than 1mbps upload speed unless you pay for it separately or buy a business plan. We get a choice to pay for an upload speed that matches our download speed, or we can pay for a business conection where the upload speed is 1/3 of the download speed.

The faster your upload speed, the faster your uploading to youtube. I suggest just leaving your computer on overnight/when you go to work/school to upload your video, because unless your pockets are full of money, you have not much choice.

And it also depends on the size of the video:

The quality and time of the video increases the size.

Let's say I have a 1080p GTA IV video that's 25 minutes long and is (this isn't accurate, just using as example) 8GB.

But I don't want it to be that big, so I might re-record the video, but in 720p and it might drop to 5GB. But I still want it to be smaller, I might cut off 5 min and it's 7GB.

That's just an example.

I am using internet from a local store and it is giving me 3-5bars of connection. The video is 4.08gbs

That's your problem. You're being capped because you're using way too much of someone else's bandwidth. Go get your own connection and stop abusing someone elses $100 per month.
