i recently got GTA:SA off of steam, When i go to start a new game, the mouse will not click/work. Im on windows 8, Anyone know how to fix this?

Try to click in option the button for - Mouse and keyboard.

If it doesnt work, try just click ESC 2x.

I had with my GTA SA the same...

If you downloaded it from a site, it could either be a file bug or a virus. That's what happened to me too! I found out it was a virus. It depends where you got your game from!

Correct. Steam would get in major trouble if they added viruses to their game. If they downloaded a torrent, then the chances of a virus goes up.

Two ways of fixing this,

 

1. Hold down 'ESC' and wiggle your mouse at the same time until in moves

 

2. Right click the gta-sa.exe and go into properties.

    then go into the Compatibility Tab.

    Now check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and click Windows XP (Service Pack 2)

 

Both work for me.

I got it working, i just downloaded a .dll from this video and placed it in the sa main directory, here it is if anyone else has this issue.
