Emergency Lighting System 1.05 not working

Featured Replies

I have a problem with this mod. The top lightbar is constantly on, and the only flashing lights are the rear lights. I've tried various YouTube tutorials reinstalling ELS, uninstalled and reinstalled the ASI manager, installed newer versions of Scripthook and Advancedhook (I also tried older versions of Advancedhook), and tried the older ELS 1.0.0. It's also worth mentioning that ELS doesn't work with any vehicle pack I've installed. Does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong? Configuring and installing vehicles isn't a problem for me, as I've done it several times before. The last time I did it was about 6 months ago, and it worked. To refresh my knowledge, I followed the YouTube tutorial. What should I do?

I would start going through the points of failure:

1) Is it installed at all?

  • Ensure ELS is installed at the right location, and is functioning in-game, you can check by launching the game, tabbing out, and looking for an "ELS.log" file, or in an ELS vehicle, hitting "Ctrl+P" to bring up the ELS overlay

2) Have I installed the Vehicle VCFs?

  • Ensure the vehicles you're using are ELS compatible, and if so, you have installed the VCFs required with matching names, in the correct location. You place the VCFs provided in the car pack you're using in your "ELS>Pack_Default" folder
