Fictional VPD / Alternate Liberty City car textures (REL)

Featured Replies

I have put together 2 designs for a fictional livery of the Vancouver Police Department.   I thought it would be neat and took a crack at it.

One livery is to pay homage to the designs currently used.   And one other is simply to look sleek and fast.

IT IS NOW RELEASED.   Just go to the Download page.

I will have a texture pack ready hopefully in a week.  Basically it is the Liberty City versions i need to clean up a bit.  I thought i was done but then looked over my preview video and saw about 6-7 things that needed tweaking/fixes.

-The few odd things i noticed were some of the decal/badge placements can be improved upon.

-Found misaligned areas on the paint,  which is strange cause the original was fine.

-Liberty City badge looked too stretched in certain areas.

-license plates are miserable looking

Let me know what you think.   The issues are all on the Liberty City textures.   (I am very happy with the VPD ones and no changes are planned.  They are Done!)

My gallery is basically earlier in the process.  Feel free to check it out.    The preview video will show you the meat and bones of the pack.

** i am new to this video commentary thing and made my 2nd topic about the work i put in to making the textures.   If you have the time and patience or really bored,  check it out on my youtube channel running at 28 minutes.

Wow, horrible. I haven't seen anything that bad.

Nawww, you're doing a great job ;) Will you be making LC versions of all those skins? I'm eager to try them out.

haha.    yep the liberty city versions are the 5% left.   Took some new pictures now and i'll attach them here.

I'll just note that the slicktop (you dont have to use slicktop of course)  I designed the LC one with a minimalist view.  So a middle ground between an unmarked cvpi and highly visible marked vehicle.  I really like the streamline of the paintjob with the Liberty City Police text alongside the bottom part of the doors.  The font looks "okay",   so i am up for changing the font if it helps a lot.

And the LCPD badges did not turn out how i expected so i will be fixing/moving them around.

WOW! I like very much the black 1! Only thing though is that black stripe on the back, it looks a bit odd :/ I will use it for sure anyway.

thanks for the comment.   It is simply a pretend rear spoiler shape to make it look a bit sporty.  :)

I hope to be done with it Mon or Tue.
