Returning to LSPDFR – starting fresh, what mods to install and in what orde

Featured Replies

Hey all,
I used to play LSPDFR in the past and even asked a few questions here before, but I’ve been away from the game for a while and forgot almost everything.

Now I’m getting back into it and want to build a full LSPDFR setup from scratch — clean, stable, and updated for 2025. I already set up the basics like RAGE Plugin Hook, ScriptHookV, LuaPlugin, etc., but I haven't installed LSPDFR itself yet.

I want to avoid past mistakes, so I’m asking:

What’s the best install order for mods in 2025?

Which mods are considered essential now?

Are there mods I should avoid or that no longer work well?

Does anyone have a working and recommended mod list / plugin setup they could share?

My goal is a stable, realistic setup for patrol gameplay — nothing crazy, just solid plugins, cars, uniforms, and callouts that work together without conflicts.

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help.

(And sorry if I ask things that were answered before — I just want to start right this time.)

I haven’t installed LSPDFR yet, just preparing the game.
Here’s what I already have in my GTA V folder — basic modding files, no gameplay mods:

• ScriptHookV.dll
• ScriptHookVDotNet.asi
• ScriptHookVDotNet2.dll
• ScriptHookVDotNet3.dll
• dinput8.dll (ASI Loader)
• RAGEPluginHook.exe
• Plugins\AsiSupport.dll
• LuaPlugin_ForUsers.asi
• LemonUI.RagePluginHook.dll
• PursuitLib.dll
• PursuitLib.RPH.dll
• Some .asi plugins: AddonSpawner.asi, HeapAdjuster.asi, PackfileLimitAdjuster.asi, TrueRealisticDrivingV.asi
• ScriptsDir-Lua (Lua plugin folder)
• No LSPDFR installed yet

Hey! I came back to LSPDFR this week too, so i think you should get LSPDFR ofcourse, since you said you didnt do that yet, for plugins, definetly get Stop The Ped, if your'e looking for a immersive experience get Grammar Police, i recommend ultimate backup with grammar police since some things like requesting EMS or FD needs it, maybe get a callout pack like 686 or Deryll and also get prowler radar and maybe riskier traffic stops to get rid of the bland experience of pulling people over.
Note: this is only for lspdfr plugins that improve the police gamplay you should just check things out for what you like and also this is just the start idk if you need things like cars or custom clothing but i started without it.
