The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

RPH wont hook to GTAV

Spoiler

Hi,

I’m having an issue where RAGEPluginHook doesn’t seem to load at all. When I run RAGEPluginHook.exe, it shows “Launching Game,” but then GTA V just starts normally — no plugin console, no LSPDFR, nothing. It’s like RAGEPluginHook isn’t hooking at all.

I’ve already:

Removed all ScriptHookV and ScriptHookVDotNet files

Checked for and removed any leftover mod .asi or .dll files

Installed the latest RAGEPluginHook version (copied directly to the GTA V root directory)

Verified my game version is supported

Tried running without any other plugins or mods

Launched as admin and checked permissions

Tried launching GTA V normally, then running RAGEPluginHook shortly after — still nothing happens

Checked for RPH logs — there’s no RAGEPluginHook.log being created at all

Still no luck. GTA runs, but RAGEPluginHook doesn’t seem to load or do anything. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Thanks for your help.

This issue is always a pain to diagnose. For my own personal case it's because Windows Defender blocks the temp files from RPH. Check your recent protection history, if the time matches up at the same time as you tried to start RPH and it's in the temp folder, hit restore and allow. That is what fixed it for me at least.

Hey, thanks for the tips! I’ve tried a few things, but I’m still stuck. I uninstalled Norton and excluded both the GTA V and Temp folders from Windows Defender. I checked the Protection History, but nothing’s showing up, so it doesn’t seem like Defender is blocking anything. I even turned off real-time protection and tried again, but RPH still won’t hook.

I also went through Task Manager to make sure there’s nothing else running that could interfere, and I did a full game file verification through Steam. I tried running RPH in verbose mode as well, but no log is being generated.

At this point, it doesn’t seem like Defender is the issue, but I’m still not sure what’s going wrong. Any other suggestions? I’d really appreciate any help.
