I’ve deleted everything including gta and all mods folders ect. I’ve tried downloading just the base lspdfr and I cannot load in with rage I’ve retried 3 different times deleting and reinstalling each time. I have no option to load story with rage plugin and when I load in and hit F4 this is the message I get Failed to reload scripts because the C:\Program Files (x86) |Steam Isteamapps|common|Grand Theft Auto Viscripts directory is missing.   I’ve looked and looked and cannot find anything to fix it. If it says the scripts directory is missing, it probably means that you need to create a scripts folder.

 

The steps you've taken:

 

Fresh installation of Grand Theft Auto V

Downloaded LSPDFR Version 4.3 [2025 Update]

Dragged and dropped all the contents inside the zip folder. (Assuming you did this manually)

Disabled BattleEye in Rockstar Games Launcher

Run the Ragepluginhook exe from the GTA V Directory

Ya ill go in and add a scripts folder and see if that helps and yes those are the exact steps

Something is telling me that you did in fact not use a clean install as you described. What you saw regarding the scripts folder comes from ScriptHookVDotNet which you should avoid entirely anyways if possible. 
 

When un- and reinstalling the game did you uninstall it via the platform you’re owning the game on or did you delete the GTA V folder in the windows file explorer manually? The latter will fully remove every modded file from the install folder whereas the former will simply uninstall the game and keep any third party files.

 

In order to make your game work please restore your directory to a fully clean one and only download the latest manual install of LSPDFR. No matter what the video guide you’re watching says. If we can make that work, then you can continue to do what you are being told when watching the video.

Ya I have a clean copy thru steam. I would go to steam and uninstall and then go and delete all the files as well 

I will do the clean copy with just manual lspdfr and get back to you seeing if it worked
