So I have taken several people to jail and even escorted them inside but when I do I can't figure out what to do with them except put them in a cell and walk out. I noticed now that it says I have 0 arrests. what am I doing wrong? How do you book criminals?

Honestly not sure what to use for the best experience. This just looked like a good set for what I wanted.

They are good don’t get me wrong. However, STP is also the reason for your arrests not being counted for the statistics. It somehow interferes with the way arrests work compared to the default LSPDFR engine (I think STP „kills“ the ped when you stop/arrest them and then clones it to fully take control over it).

Okay.. well do you have a list of recommended mods to enhance the experience? I've enjoyed being a cop in GTA RP but my style doesn't mesh well with others so finding this mod was a huge blessing, am really enjoying it but would like my stuff to actually count.

(I enjoy immersion in the realistic sense. Filling out reports for arrests, booking evidence, and all the stuff besides just chases and shootouts so any recommendations would help. Would also enjoy having an off duty life like going places and doing things like I would in GTA)

I'll just uninstall the STP files then and go back to basic + anything anyone is willing to recommend to help me meet my ideal play sessions.

StopThePed is completely free though. You can pay for early access to new features but to my knowledge, it hasn’t been updated in ages.

The only way I could find it was to subscribe to his patreon in order to unlock the download for it. I might have been mistaken though.

Hey, it's been a couple days. Did real life get in the way? Usually does. Could still use that list. Been looking through a lot of mods but don't know which ones are fitting to what I want vs. require multiple players (like FiveM) to work properly. 

 

And yeah, that's the website I went to but the only link I could get to work was the one taking me to his patreon page and once there I had to subscribe to access the mod.

I can recommend reports plus, especially if you have a second windows/macos device. 
GrammarPolice is one of the better plugins out there as well. If you don’t like the idea of talking to the dispatcher, you can still use the police smart radio-like on screen radio. 
BetterHitReactions makes the game more interesting as well. Alternatively use Deadly Weapons. 
I also like immersive effects. It requires some menu customisation if you’re unhappy with the base values. The developer Faya also uploaded cuff the deceased (I think that was the name?!) and plain sight.

ImmersiveAmbientEvents I can recommend too.
