Hiya. Just installed a few uk non-els cars, the siren works fine but the lights however are not shining right, it's functioning in a really weird way. Photo attached below (car in photo is polestar none els version i downloaded from another site),front and backlights are fine, however for the top light bar, instead of shining inside the light bar, it only shines with one or two blue and red dotish shapes. I also attached a photo of the contents in the car's download files, I only copied its yft,ytd and hi_yft files into openiv, but did not do anything about the resource lua, carols,meta extra, would this be somehow related? thanks a lot.

Non ELS cars require a carvariations and carcols meta. You’d have to find a way to replace the existing entries with the ones provided by the download or convert the entire vehicle pack into an addon.

No, this is a mod i got from union berlin. I did notice that  most of these files all have carvariations and carols meta, are these cars all have the same meta files or do I have the replace them one by one in different respective patchdays? thank you!

There are different carvars and carcols with different types of cars. Are those addons? Then they’ll have their own ones. If those are replace cars they will most likely be overridden by your meta files somewhere in the mods folder. Idk the path off the top of my head.

 

It’s still a FiveM ressource which is a bit tricky to install. I’d suggest you take a look at LML and install it through that which is fairly simple and works 99% of the time even with FiveM resources.

With LML, converting is very easy.
