Today around the world, dozens of agencies are participating in a "Tweet-A-Thon". What this means is that Departments will tweet about every call they are getting/responding to for a certain amount of time!

 

Using the hashtag #POLTWT Agencies are working to show the public how they are utilizing social media.

 

There is a town near me that actually is live-tweeting AND has a live-feed camera in one of their cruisers!

Incidentally, I've noticed that the Official Heroes Behind The Badge twitter account follows them. It shows you that no matter how many miles they are apart, even overseas, the police is one massive family of brothers and sisters that look out for eachother.

 

It's also the only British force they follow
