Actually, only a staff member can close a thread. As NB said, our internal policy is now to only close threads that violate the Community Guidelines. We no longer close just because the OP requested.

Can I have a link to these updated internal policy?

They are internal, i.E for the community team and not for our users.

So than how are we supposed to know what we can and can not do all the guidelines say is about swearing, abuse, child pornography, porn, advertising, and i believe one other thing.

The internal policy isn't for you guys to follow. It's for us to follow when we're carrying out moderation tasks.

That is when we will close threads, I said that we'll close threads when they violate community guidelines, your thread does not violate community guidelines. It appears to me that you are upset that people didn't take kindly to you virtually asking people to do work for you, people responded in a way you did not like so you wanted us to close the thread, we are not going to do so.

 

We're not going to close threads because of that, everything that's happened here other than you taking the thread widely off-topic is within the community guidelines, there's no wrongdoing.

 

I'm done arguing, any further talks about this will result in posts being hidden as they violate our community guidelines in the section of general etiquette and spamming as they are irrelevant to the discussion at and, end of story.
