Good day folks,

 

I had a look around but couldn't find a definitive answer as to what could cause this and wondered if anyone else has had the issue.

 

Basically, when I get shot, my character switches to Franklin. For example, during a car chase, I got shot, and my character was removed from my car (car just drives off into the distance) and changed to Franklin.

 

When I then proceed to die, my character doesn't die, Franklin just walks around and my screen fades black and respawns me as Franklin at a hospital. Grammer Police shows me code 4 like it should, call out ends like it should. 

 

The game doesn't crash, everything keeps working just fine. It's just rather annoying. I use skin control and swap back to my LSPDFR character, use simple trainer to respawn my car, and off I go again, that is until the next time I get shot and rinse and repeat. 

 

I'm wondering if the Deadly Weapons Mod could be causing this?

Can't say I have heard about this issue before. I'd start with renaming my Plugins/LSPDFR folder to _LSPDFR. That way you can check whether it is a LSPDFR plugin causing your issue. If that doesn't work I'd do the same with the scripts folder (_scripts). Last option would be renaming the mods folder to _mods.

Hey, I actually found what was causing the issue, will say here incase anyone else comes across it.

 

I was using Skin Control. I guess, when you select a saved style, it changes your character, i.e not your lspdfr char (when I'd hit pause, my name was something random) and for some reason (I have no idea why, must be due to skin control conflicting with another mod... potentially LSPDFR itself..) upon being shot at or killed, it was causing me to switch to Franklin.

At least I assume this was the issue. I have not had the issue since removing skin control or been able to replicate it.
