[REQ] Police Utility Belt (No firearm holster)

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was wondering if anybody could make (or modify a current one) a utility/police belt with all the usual things ('cuffs, radio, torch, etc) but NO HOLSTER FOR GUN!

In case you are wondering it is because I would like to play with some British police peds and we don't routinley carry firearms over here! It would probably also be useful for security guards?

I will post some pictures.

It could either be the original cop belt but no mag pouches or glock holster!

Thanks fbo194.

OK, you piqued my interest: I'm working on one.

Right now, I'm just making it be a regular cop belt without gun or mags, and with the baton in cross-draw setup (like I've heard UK police use). The downside is that the jacket obscures the top of the baton, but that shouldn't be too big a problem (just assume the officer would push the jacket out of the way).

EDIT: Update: Done. Just need to test IG.

I might be interested in turning this into a UK cop with vest, but I have a couple questions:

1. UK cops wear radios that look more like old Nokia phones (brick phones with keypads) than they do American police radios, right? Does anyone know of a GTA model with a radio like that?

2. What equipment do UK cops have besides radio, baton, flashlight, and cuffs?

MPS use CS spray as well. They are not Nokia phones, but Tetra radios clipped to the top of the vest for hands free communication.

I have a Tetra radio model I created in 3DS Max a while ago, exact same one that the Met use, although it is not UV-Mapped. If you are able to UV map & texture it, you can add it to your police officer if you want and it can go in the MPS ped pack I released, as an update. I have reference images available if you want to know what they look like.

We can schedule an agreed release date and I can remaster the skins a bit and create the preview video if your interested.
