dinput8 not letting it launch

No, this is a dinput8.dll problem, we can only wait for it to be update 😞

edit: Okay, I found a solution

You just need to install dinput8.dll version 10.0.15063.608, at least everything worked for me

I’ll check it tomorrow thank you if this works!

I have installed the dinput and it worked except my car models won't load as well as trainer and menyoo doesn't work.

Hello

I can tell you the bad news right away.

I only shared the working version of dinput8.dll, this allows you to run the game and use only modifications that work with it.

But modifications using Scripthookdotnet do not work for me personally at the moment, I suspect that there is the same problem with it as with dinput8.dll .

Also because of the game update, in the dlclist.xml has new patches. Because of this, it is necessary to reinstall all sets of cars and EUP

Links/files removed due to copyright issues.

Please note that utilizing that dinput8.dll will NOT fix ScriptHookV from being outdated. Users should either utilize a backup copy of the game if they wish to keep playing with everything or, preferably, wait for ScriptHookV to update.

You need to wait for ScriptHook to be updated.

Do not use a random dinput8.dll from the internet - these could have viruses. The one that comes with ScriptHook is modified to allow the use of ScriptHook and asi mods so using a random one wouldn't work anyway.

If removing dinput8 works, then it is most likely something using ScriptHookV causing the problem. Have the game crash again and then send the ScriptHookV.log.

Sadly I have this issue too and it seems that we will have to wait for an update so we cant play for months since skripthook takes so long to send updates.

I would like to point you specifically to the below information from the guide, as I am 95% sure it is the reason for the issues mentioned.

Spoiler

For the most part, if you launch GTA V after it has updated with all of your mods still installed, the game will crash.  This can either be because you have mods which rely on scripting tools as discussed above, or it can be because you are using other mods which do not need these tools to work.

If a mod doesn't use ScriptHook V, RAGE Plugin Hook, Community Script Hook V .NET, etc. then it's most likely to be a vehicle mod, ped mod, or of similar nature.  These types of mods are usually installed using Open IV's mod folder feature, which will not work properly after a game update.

The reason that mods using Open IV's mod folder won't work after a game update is that the mods folder works like an overlay.  It overlays your custom, modded, files over the normal game files.  When the game is updated, the game files are updated too but your custom, modded, files are not.  This means that the updates to the game are being replaced by your old, custom files and this ultimately causes the game not to work as it is expecting the new, updated files.

To fix this, you need to copy the new, updated files into the update.rpf archive in your mods folder.  This isn't as complicated as it sounds, because Open IV will prompt to do this for you if you launch it in Edit Mode.

I've updated my 'mods' folder using Open IV, but my mods don't work.

Unfortunately, this is one of the nuances of modding GTA V using the Open IV mods folder method.  When you copy the new version of the update.rpf, you are essentially defaulting back to an unmodded game.  To make your mods work again, you will have to reinstall them.

To avoid having to reinstall mods after an update, we strongly recommend that you use Lenny's Mod Loader wherever possible: https://www.lcpdfr.com/lml
