I really want to do the story mode but, should i go bake and start with gta1 or gta 3 then vc and sa, or should i just do iv?

Doesn't matter...IV is separate from SA, VC, and III. IV is basically in a different "universe" than those and Rockstar has stated that IV, V, and most likely any other GTA's will not be connected in anyway, except for city names, to the previous games.

 

Think of it like Marvel and Capcom comics.

^^ What he said. Note that III, SA, and VC *are* all in the same universe. Basically, incrementing the number means the universe changes (for example, the LC in IV is entirely different than that in III).

I bought the collection on a special offer deal off of Steam back last year so i have all of them..

 

For me GTA 1 and GTA 2 were the type of console game that made me dislike consoles in the early days, im talking Sega megadrive type consoles here, top down view only and very blocky basic graphics, as for the story? dunno, i uninstalled them after 5 mins of trying each.. I'm sure they we're completely ground breaking in their day but at that time i was more interested in going out clubbing, getting s***faced and pulling or puking, whichever way the night went..

 

GTA 3 & Vice city, got into these ones along with Driv3r, don't think i bothered with the story and why would I? i could drive around run people over and get out and shoot them if they had the audacity to not die on initial impact! Haven't really played them since owning the collection i will go on a nostalgia rampage sooner or later though..

 

GTA IV & EFLC Obviously don't really need to say anything about IV do i? EFLC, damn i'm still having so much fun on IV i haven't even clicked the START button on this yet lol

 

GTA V, hopefully we still have enough fossil fuels to supply the Power Stations and that my house still has electricity to power my PC so that if and when V ever does get released i will be able to add that to my collection too
