Police Signs (Skins)

Featured Replies

Hi,

So I ran across a CVPI that I really like.  The only problem is that I have four skins that I want to use on the car and there's only one skin slot (police_sign_1) no 2, 3, or 4.  If anyone knows how to add skins to a vehicle or has a tutorial, that would be great!

Sorry if there's a topic like this out there, I searched and can't find anything.  I must be typing the wrong thing in, lol.

What model is this?

Easy fix:

Download OpenIV.

Go to the vehicles.wtd file.

Click Edit Mode in the top right.

Click on the .wtd,

Import the textures. Make sure to name them just as the 1 texture already in the wtd.

click save and close!

(Make sure to delete the 1 police sign already in there as unlike sparkIV, open IV does not replace files when importing[to my knowledge at least])

Alright, so in OpenIV, I import a texture and name it "police_sign_1" ?

Oh, and it's this:

As far as I know, you can't rename it in the wtd file in OpenIV. You have to rename it before you import it, like you would any other file.

Also, it should be "police_sign_#", where # represents a number 1-4. So, in your case, since it already has PS1, you would name yours "police_sign_2".
