Game crashing

Featured Replies

Im new to modding GTA, I followed Blueline on mostly everything I installed. It worked great except the car mod had the lights only showing from the back, a small hiccup with EUP, and then boom. My game crashed saying EUP service failed to load and now my game will not load without me doing the _mods thing. Im at a loss because I did scripthookdotnet and I read that it wasn't the best so I went back to using scripthookv but my game will still crash when it gets to initializing the game. I uninstalled the car packs already. I have EUP, NVE, ELS, Stop the ped, Ultimate backup, simple trainer, High and Low LOD, pack file adjuster, adv hook, better radiance, and visual V. I feel like it's a super in-my-face problem, but I've been reading forums for two hours and it seems like the solution is to reinstall mods. I wouldn't know how to go on about that since I don't even know where the problem began in the first place when I did a fresh install of everything. Sorry if this is complicated, I just wanna LARP before I take my deputy exam lol.

If it only works with your mods folder being renamed, then the issue is obvious. Some mod you installed is faulty and causes your game to crash.

If you’ve already tried removing some things you installed either no avail, best you can do is start a fresh mods folder.

Thats super tough, its a dumb question but how do you know what mod is faulty. Im used to modding fallout/skyrim and troubleshooting is much easier in terms of the mod screaming at you that its not working. Do I just delete the mod folder and restart that process or do I verify game files and restart everything I did?

Verifying game files is never a bad idea. In this case I’d start with a fresh mods folder. GTA V is indeed very tricky when it comes down to deciphering which mod causes the issue.

well got home and reinstalled the mods in a new mod folder. My problem seems to be now that I have ELS.asi error when loading. It will load the game and its playable but lspdfr or something crashed in game when I was making an arrest and sadly I couldn't read what it was.

edit: When reinstalling everything I forgot to update adv hook to the current version *facepalm* Game works and im super happy.
