whenever i load story mode on gta with normal version and the rage version it starts to load then stops and crashes. i got a game memory error once when it crashed. i have tried everything. please help.

Rename "mods" folder to "_mods". It will disable mods that you have installed.

Change from the plugin thereshold value from 10000 to 60000

Do you think i should just start from scratch on a clean copy of gta?

 

try to reinstall your nvidia (or AMD) to fix courrupt files. you can do this by going to GeForce Expirence or Nvidia App and going to drivers and either pressing update (which will reinstall) or by just clicking reinstall.

I updated it earlier today, but I am still gonna try to re-install it. 

make sure commandline.txt is empty when reinstalling. 

Where would I see that? It just finished re installing.

Did you make sure that commandline.txt in ur gta5 main directory was empty?

It most likely will if it is a commandline+ graphics driver issue, but i really do recommend you trying this first, remove everything from commandline.txt then reinstall ur graphics driver
