Help with popcycle and lspdfr.ini

Featured Replies

Does Ambient.DisableAmbientGameCopSpawnBlock completely override popcycle.dat? If set to false does popcycle.dat get ignored altogether or just the VEH_COPCAR tags?

And adversely, if set to true, then do all the AmbientSpawn settings in the ini get ignored?

Ambient.DisableAmbientGameCopSpawnBlock = false (default) makes LSPDFR call SET_CREATE_RANDOM_COPS(false) native. This stops the game from creating ambient cops on foot. I think it also stops ambient vehicle spawning cops. This has the effect of disabling popcycle/popsched based police spawning.

Setting Ambient.DisableAmbientGameCopSpawnBlock = true, stops this call from taking place. You'd probably need to restart the game to see the effects of changing this flag as LSPDFR won't call SET_CREATE_RANDOM_COPS(true) to undo the above action.

I don't think either option stops LSPDFR's own internal ambient cop spawns, controlled by agency.xml.
