Seemingly inexplicable GTA V full game crash to desktop

Featured Replies

 I recently resumed playing GTA V/LSPDFR after a couple weeks off, and within the last couple of days, I've started to incur a full crash to desktop after roughly 25-30 minutes of gameplay. I haven't made any changes to my mods folder that would cause something of this magnitude, so I'm thinking something in there has become incompatible, but I can't seem to figure out what, despite no shortage of effort. I have attached the RPH log from my latest session below, in hopes that someone here can figure out what's causing the crash, as some kind folks have been able to do for me before. Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Upgrading my ScriptHookVDotNet to the latest version, running a scan of my PC for corrupted files and repairing them, or some combination thereof seems to have helped with my issues greatly, as my game ran for 11 hours soak testing, before it finally crashed with a different error code. I've added the RPH log from that session below in case anyone has time to take a look and see if they can diagnose why the game crashed again after running for so long.

Having it run for that long is actually extremely good. Here are a few things I picked up from your recent log:

1. Update: MegaphoneUI
2. Go into your lspdfr.ini and change the following to reflect below:
AmbientSpawn.MaxCopsInArea = 0
AmbientSpawn.MaxSpawnedCopsInArea = 0
Ambient.DisableEscapedSuspectEncounter = true

@UnknownBastion Thank you for your suggestions! I implemented both and my game ran for nearly 7 hours before crashing again, with same error code it was crashing with originally. Then on my next session, the game crashed after a run of just under 2 hours, no error code given. The long runtimes are good, but I'd still like to know what is causing the eventual crashes, as I really haven't changed anything in my game recently that would be responsible for them. I've attached yet another log, so hopefully that will shed some further light on things. If not, I can probably tolerate what I have now, as I don't usually play for that long at a time. I should also add that the last two crashes occurred while my character was at virtually (no pun intended) the same location on the map. That could just be a coincidence, but I have heard of crashes having something to do with that before.

In terms of your log, things look fine. Keep in mind that playing for between 2 to 7 hours is very good, especially when using LSPDFR and other mods. You won't ever be able to get the game working 100% because that is just how modding is. If you encounter a crash after that much time, simply restart the game and keep playing!

@UnknownBastionThanks again! I assumed as much would probably be the case. I did have to downgrade the Police Megaphone mod as the new version seemed to be making the game crash sooner than with the older version, but otherwise I'll keep experimenting and see what gives me the longest playtime.

Have you done what I put in step 2 of my original response? And if so, screenshot the lspdfr.ini please.

@UnknownBastion I did try what you suggested there, however it either had no effect, or caused the crashes to occur sooner. That said, I removed Megaphone overall, so I will try your other suggestion again and see what happens now.
